Colorful flags fluttering and drums honking, tree shadows swaying, oars fluttering, and flowers fluttering. On June 10th, 2023, the 17th “Zhangjiang Cup” Dragon Boat Race kicked off in the Lujiabang River of Zhangjiang Science City. The “Xindao Divine Dragon Team” volunteered to participate and showcase their talents!
This year’s dragon boat race is guided by the Construction Management Office of Zhangjiang Science City in Shanghai, the People’s Government of Zhangjiang Town in Pudong New Area, Shanghai Zhangjiang (Group) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Zhangjiang High tech Park Development Co., Ltd. It is hosted by Shanghai Zhangjiang Cultural Holdings Co., Ltd., organized by Zhangjiang Park Federation of Trade Unions and Shanghai Zhangjiang Cultural Media Co., Ltd., and co organized by Zhangjiang Science City Chamber of Commerce. A total of 41 teams from government agencies, enterprises, institutions, and colleges participated in the competition, setting a new record for the number of participating teams in recent years!
This competition is the third time that the Xindao Shenlong team has participated, with both experienced veteran players and energetic new players in the team. Braving the scorching sun and undergoing a month of training, the team members earnestly studied various aspects such as basic movements, rowing skills, and forward rhythm. Sweat brought everyone together, disregarding fatigue and challenging themselves!
On the day of the competition, the core guides were ready to go, breaking through the waves, with the sound of oars chasing the drum beats and accelerating continuously. The cheers of the cheerleading team echoed through the sky.
